Welcome to Rainbow Ridge Farms!

Your Farm Stay Bed and Breakfast in Onalaska/La Crosse

Two hours from both Madison and the Twin Cities, just a short drive from the interstate, and you are at Rainbow Ridge Farms. Tucked in a beautiful coulee of Wisconsin's Driftless Region, you can relax and enjoy the beauty or take a short drive to La Crosse and explore. Established in 1996, Rainbow Ridge Farms is an award-winning, favorite destination for couples and families to enjoy a farm-stay vacation. The animals are friendly, the B&B is charming, and we have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a gas fireplace, so you don't have to "rough it" too much!

Farm Camp for Kids 7- 12

We offer a day camp to children 7-12 in the summer months.  Each week features a farm theme like poultry, goats, farm foodies, crafts, bugs and bees, construction and woodworking.  The kids enjoy doing morning chores, crafting, learning, and playing in the creek.

Reviews From Our Guests

The farm stay was a fun change from the rest of our trip. The animals were entertaining and the hosts great - welcoming and informative. Our beds were very comfy, and the breakfast tasty, including eggs from the farm's chickens.

We always stay here when we are in the area. We love the farm (especially the goats - they follow you up the hill as if you were the Pied Piper!) and it's close to the bike trails. Great people, comfy beds, fun animals. So relaxing to be out of the city!

My husband and I had a GREAT time at Rainbow Ridge B&B! We wanted to get away and try something new. We got to help with milking the goats- which was so much fun. The baby goats are adorable and so hilarious- and we even got to bottle feed a few! It's so peaceful and calming to be around all of the farm animals (who co-exist in the same pens with no issues! [goats, llama, donkey, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats]). Our host, Donna, was very friendly and taught us so much. We can't wait to go back and bring our kids!

Amazing place to escape from everyone and everything and enjoy beautiful nature and animals. We spent 3 nights there and already planning our next visit. Better than any hotels and any resorts!
