If the week your child wants to attend is full, please fill out the registration form for the week and they will be placed on the waiting list.  We will contact you as soon as a space opens.

                                      


                Farm Camp 2023

Camp Dates for 2023: 

Week 1: June 5-9 Bee's, Bugs, and Slugs. Limited to 15 children --2 spaces open

                                 Campers will be exploring the roll of bees, bugs, and slugs.  Learn about beekeeping, spin honey,

                                 and explore the local bugs and slugs

           

Week 2: June 12-16  Goat Week 1--FULL

                                    Campers will be learning about caring for goats, showing goats, and demonstrating our

                                    achievements with a goat show on Friday.


Week 3: June 19-23  Construction-- FULL

                                        Campers will be learning how to use hand tools.  Using those skills, we will be building, a

                                        camper chosen, structure for them to use and for all and future campers to enjoy.


Week 4: June 26-30-  Poultry -- FULL

                                          Campers will be learning about different kinds of poultry, the different eggs that are laid,

                                          and the roll of poultry.


Week        July 3-7 - Camp will be closed so that families can enjoy the 4th of July


Week 5:  July 10-14  Goat Week 2 -- FULL

                                        Campers will be learning about caring for goats, showing goats, and demonstrating our achievements

                                        with a goat show on Friday.


Week 6:  July 17-21  Farm animal week  FULL 

                                        Campers will be learning about many farm animals and taking a field trip to the County Fair.


Week 7:  July 24-28  Horse Week--FULL 

                                         We will be learning about horses and donkeys.  The campers will show their skills with a "horse show"


Week 8 July 31- August 4  Farm STEM week -- FULL

                                           Farming is made up a lot of things including STEM.  Explore and create


Week 9:  August 7-11  Goat Week 3 -- FULL 

                                              Campers will be learning about caring for goats, showing goats, and demonstrating their

                                              achievements with a goat show on Friday.


Week 10 Aug 14-18 - Wild Crafter week--FULL 

                                        Campers will forage natural materials, and create useful tools and beautiful art.  We will be exploring                                               ancestral skills like rope making and weaving.


Week 11  August 21-25  Farm Foodies​--FULL 

                                            Campers will be using local produce to create great food.



Each week we focus on a different aspect of farming.   Chores will include gardening, feeding the goats, bottle feeding goat kids, milking a goat by hand, caring for pigs, calves, caring for the chickens including collecting eggs and refreshing the laying nest, cleaning pens, feeders, and aisle.  At times, we bring in experts to teach and do special presentations.


Rates:  $250 per week.  Campers coming for more than 4 weeks will receive reduced reduced rates of $230 per week beginning their 5th week of camp.

Sibling rate for the same week:  $225
.
Surround care hours of 7:00am to 8:00am available for $25 per week

Surround care hours of 3:30 to 5:30 pm is available for $50

A $50 non-refundable deposit per student per week, at the time of registration, will guarantee  your child’s space and be applied towards tuition. If you need to cancel that week and move your child to another week, that non-refundable deposit will not be applied to the new week. Additionally, canceling with less than a one week notice, the balance will not be refunded.  All balances are due  by June 1st, unless other arrangements are made.​  If your child is unable to attend the full week due to illness or other commitments, we are not able to reschedule or refund the missed times, however refunds for illness will be considered on an individual basis.
